Its no secret Queenstown is a much loved holiday destination, not only for kiwis but for international visitors too - attracting 3.6 million people to the little town annually.
The Holiday Inn Express has scored the perfect location to set up its first ever hotel in New Zealand. The hotel was set up as a "base camp" with its close proximity to the Remarkable Ski Field & Queenstown Airport, making travelling to Queenstown convenient for visitors. The 60 million dollar hotel has catered for 227 rooms, and includes a free breakfast for each guest.
Carpets throughout the building are made from recycled fishing nets, and the hotel has even implemented a "heat recovery plant" which reduces the energy used to preheat the incoming air from the hotel ventilation.
The hotel is equipped with the ffuuss hand dryer, where power consumption is minimised through the integrated preheat system using only 1100W of power.
An extremely energy efficient way of drying hands fast.
