Elan Hygiene Solutions (EHS) of India has a vision of turning Hand Dryers into a mainstream product and with the support from SPL of New Zealand, this venture is continuing to flourish.
EHS has adopted the mantra “Dry Hands are Safe Hands” to educate people to wash and dry their hands after using the toilet and before eating. The hope is that it will be a positive contribution to India as they strive to achieve the Indian governments initiative of Swachh Bharat - to ‘Clean India’.
The NZ Trade Commissioner for North and East India, Jane Cunliffe, has recently paid a visit to EHS to check out the purpose-built factory in Chennai where the iconic Supreme BA101 Hand Dryer has had a re-birth as the “EHD101” for the Indian market.
The key purpose of the visit was to understand more about the operations of EHS, as well as to see where New Zealand Trade & Enterprise (NZTE) could support the growth of SPL in India. They also extended an invitation to EHS to attend one of the events hosted with Sir William Gallagher of Gallagher Group.
NZTE's key objective is to help NZ companies grow internationally for the benefit of New Zealand. Jane Cunliffe leads the initiatives of NZTE from her office in New Delhi.
